Fantasy and Reality · 2:01pm Jan 9th, 2017

It's finally clicked why Witcher 3 is the smash hit that it is; why it's one of the rare games that has handily outsold its prequels.

Never before have I played a fantasy RPG injected with so much... Reality.

"Skyrim in a Game of Thrones sauce." · 1:07pm Mar 19th, 2016

Without a doubt, Witcher 3 has completely seized my free time. So I did a little research.

It's part of a Polish fantasy saga that began with a book in 1990, which spawned a sequel novel, a poorly-received film, mediocre television series, and finally, a trio of games, the third of which has become a roleplaying juggernaut.

Witcher 3 Continues To Floor Me · 1:47am Apr 17th, 2016

Just when I've gotten to just about every corner of the huge continent, this game goes and gives me an island to explore, along with this stunningly, hauntingly beautiful music.

There are no longer any doubts in my mind as to why this took Game of the Year.

The longest intro of my entire life · 3:01pm Jan 27th, 2017

So, yesterday I got The Witcher 3 (and a playstation to play it on).

First thing I notice when I boot up the game.

Before I even get to the main menu, I'm treated to a ten minute history lesson of the world of witcher.

At least, that's what I assumed it was. I eventually just muted the screen and went off to do something else, and checked back later to see if it was finished.

Move Over, Skyrim · 11:55am Jun 4th, 2016

Well, at 114 hours, I completed the main story, and all but two or three side quests of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

There were good and bad things in the ending I received. Immediately afterwards, I learned that there are a total of 36 variables throughout the game that affect small and large portions of the ending.

Man I love Skellige · 3:47pm Aug 14th, 2015

Man I love Skellige in Witcher 3 . Skyrim can't hold a candle to it.

Topped off with this wonderful magic playing as you explore this beautiful land. The strong Irish accents of people living there is a nice to hear, since I'm Irish with an strong accents. Even those the people of Skellige more like Vikings than Irish.

The New Witcher Series On Netflex · 5:30pm Dec 23rd, 2019

I just saw it, thankfully it's not total woke garbage. Okay, there's a little bit, but it's not totally in your face.

Looking forward for more. It was quite good.

Cheese · 12:24pm Mar 22nd, 2016

I was having such a great, ordinary night.

Watching 24 with Brady, eating spaghetti....

Then Witcher 3 taught me the word tyromancy, or mages attempting to decipher omens and prophecies through the coagulation of cheese.

Yes. This was an actual thing in the middle ages. Cheese. Predicting the future THROUGH CHEESE.

I am so far beyond done right now.

Well, Forget GTA V · 4:05am Jun 3rd, 2016

Was hoping to do another playthrough of GTA V before No Man's Sky in August, but I guess I'll just do Witcher 3's New Game +, because I'm fucking sick to death of the severe stuttering and whatever memory leak the game has.

The one on the left is ten minutes of GTA V. The one on the right is Witcher 3.

You know, a medallion that reacts to magic and monsters seems all too appropriate for Sunset.

And no editing in that pic; there are LEDs in the eyes.

Whoa.

When I announced my intentions to attempt Death March difficulty to the only other co-worker who plays Witcher 3, his response was a resounding and encouraging, "Boy, you're crazy."

Apparently he's also attempted Death March, and never made it out of White Orchard.

Never beat this one, but I did find an old copy of the first game as a tyke, and tried getting into it a few times.

Says something how new to both D&D and English I was, that I think I made... four Thieves, or something like that. Since I'd just played Thief 2 for the first time, and having four Gerath's in my party sounded super crazy awesome.
